WEST FANNIN ELEMENTARY
At West Fannin Elementary School (WFES), our mission is to create a safe, nurturing environment that fosters the development of skills necessary to thrive in all areas of life by teaching our Little Jackets to build relationships, respect differences, and learn to do hard things.
WFES follows the Georgia Standards of Excellence, providing rigorous and engaging instruction designed to meet students where they are and help them reach their full potential. Instruction emphasizes strong foundations in reading and math, while incorporating hands-on learning and real-life applications through STEM. These experiences encourage students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and explore innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
Students at WFES also have opportunities to explore their interests and develop new skills through a variety of clubs offered during the school day, such as Music, Robotics, Art/Kindness, Photography, Crocheting, Cooking, Handyman, and Book Club. In addition, students in grades 4 and 5 can participate in our Competitive Robotics Team and Investigative Research Program, providing advanced opportunities for inquiry, creativity, and teamwork.
Family and community partnerships are vital to the success of our students. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and strong parent participation play an integral role in supporting our programs, enhancing the school experience, and strengthening the connection between home and school. Together, we make West Fannin Elementary a place where every child can learn, grow, and succeed.
